Joe had a hard life but he was such a special person. His parents divorced when he was little, and then both of his parents remarried. When Joe was nine, his mother died and Joe was sent away to a school for difficult children. He proved them wrong, he was the top in his Senior Class and even earned a full scholarship to the College of his choice. But something went wrong and he never went. Joe later married and had two daughters. Joe was a perfectionist and things never really went his way. By the time, he was 33 years old, he was deep in debt and getting a divorce. Joe ended his own life Monday, August 16, 1993. The really sad thing is that even though he was in so much pain, I don't think that he understood just how much pain his death caused. We miss him still and always will. Joanne Smith |
